18 Hm, now this is a toughie. Barring any BIOS misconfigurations, I'd
19 say that you might have a defective stick of RAM. Try booting
20 another OS and see if it can detect the full gigabyte; if it happens
21 then it's probably a hardware problem, not a Gentoo issue.
