10 Make sure to build scsi disk support into your kernel (=y, not =m).
11 Grub setup should be fairly easy, just make a device.map that has:

17 The other thing I would suggest for your kernel is build USB and
18 IEEE1394 support as modules. This will prevent any USB/firewire hard
19 drives from confusing the sdX sequencing of the kernel and udev, at
20 least for your SATA drives.
