So you did run mysql_upgrade and same as before? Some words about what you did 
and some relevant output of the command (if any) wouldn't hurt ;)
Have you tried mysql_fix_privilege_tables? After that, you would need to run 
the steps mentioned in the wiki again (I think), giving the password you 
entered in myth-setup to the UPDATE command.
