A known problem with the new portage cache rewrite, solutions:
1.this ML sometime yesterday (three liner script);
2.this ML-mail from jstubbs (shortly do "emerge metadata") and disable 'cdb' if using it.
3.Check on http://dev.gentoo.org/~jstubbs (check again the name here);
4.Solution is also in Gentoo Forums.
