I'm using both of them: 4 discs are attached to this box, 1 to IDE0 |

No problem insofar but the fact that disc names are given at boot |

For example if you have sda, sdb and sdc, if you remove sda, then sdb |

AFAIK Knoppix livecd can't see hard drives attached to Promise, but grml |

Side note: don't trust RAID setting of the motherboard and use Linux |
