Hello everybody, |
2 |
|
3 |
On a fresh install got stuck at |
4 |
livecd/#passwd |
5 |
bash: passwd: command not found |
6 |
|
7 |
Sure enough, there's no passwd in /bin nor a link in |
8 |
/usr/bin. This, having just worked through the |
9 |
on-line docs up to setting hostname and domainname w/o |
10 |
incident. |
11 |
|
12 |
When I exit /bin/bash I can run passwd alright but |
13 |
what good is that? |
14 |
|
15 |
Somethings not right. Used the mini-install 2005.1 to |
16 |
download a stage2 tarball and snapshot to a small |
17 |
drive which I then unpacked onto a SATA 120G and so |
18 |
on. |
19 |
|
20 |
Now I hear there's "no support" for stage2. Is that |
21 |
the problem? But passwd is a pretty basic program. |
22 |
|
23 |
At a loss |
