Hi all, |
2 |
I have sata disk sda connected to ICH7 (ata_piix). Everything worked |
3 |
fine until I saw these error messages: |
4 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0xd1 host_stat 0x21 |
5 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ata1: translated ATA stat/err 0xd1/00 to SCSI |
6 |
SK/ASC/ASCQ 0xb/47/00 |
7 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ata1: status=0xd1 { Busy } |
8 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo sd 0:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x8000002 |
9 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo sda: Current: sense key=0xb |
10 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ASC=0x47 ASCQ=0x0 |
11 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 17059167 |
12 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
13 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
14 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
15 |
|
16 |
...and it began to show in dmesg every about 5 seconds and FS on it |
17 |
stopped responding. |
18 |
Is this disk error, controler error? |
19 |
|
20 |
Every time I reboot it I get these messages: |
21 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ata1: command 0x35 timeout, stat 0xd1 host_stat 0x21 |
22 |

24 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ata1: status=0xd1 { Busy } |
25 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo sd 0:0:0:0: SCSI error: return code = 0x8000002 |
26 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo sda: Current: sense key=0xb |
27 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ASC=0x47 ASCQ=0x0 |
28 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 17059167 |
29 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
30 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
31 |
May 24 23:31:43 foo ATA: abnormal status 0xD1 on port 0xB807 |
32 |
|
33 |
This disk is heavely loaded by mysql. |
34 |
|
35 |
...so what does these messages mean, how to avoid them and the failure? |
36 |
Thank you in advance for any help. |
