6 You need to use plugin for TIFF images. Just like what you do with Flash and
7 JAVA. You can either use Plugger or mozplugger to do it. These plugins will
8 provide lots of additional functionalities including audio, video, MIDI files
9 playback and viewing of TIFF, PNG, BMP, Photoshop and other formats.

11 I am personally using mozplugger and use imagemagick as a viewer for TIFF
12 images.
