First, to those who offered help, I thank you for your efforts. I never
was able to find a way to get the hard drives connected through the USB
to boot. What I ended up doing was to resize and move my Windows
partitions on my internal hard drive to give myself enough room to
install Gentoo. It works now, and I can always use the USB drives as
extra storage, backups, etc.

Eventually, when I get around to it, I will probably install at least a
couple of them in my computer (I need to install a new video card, anyway).

An interesting side note: Out of all the distributions that support
AMD64, that I tried, Gentoo was the only one that even came close to
working on the USB drive. It's my favorite, anyway because everything
is compiled from source, and you can set your own options.

Regards,
Chris
