7 No, that is not a better name for the USE flag.

9 Anyone who has read the docs for rxvt-unicode knows that the perl
10 extension is just that, an *extension*. It is perfectly valid to
11 configure rxvt-unicode with --disable-perl. And on some smaller
12 boxen it may even be necessary. (Sometimes conserving ram is more
13 important than extra functionality.)

15 perl is the right USE flag for rxvt-unciode, and should remain a
16 USE flag. It enables much more functionality than just the tabbed
17 extension, but does so at an expense. An expense which is easily
18 noticed on smaller boxen.
