5 I don't use Seamonkey, but one way you might determine the answer to
6 this question is by using strace on it to see if it is calling any
7 external programs or just system calls. You should also be able to see
8 what it's spending a lot of time on. You could also use top to verify
9 that the 100% CPU time is actually being consumed by the Seamonkey
10 process and not some other process.
