Googleearth will be very slow without opengl acceleration, so you |

probably want to stick with the nvidia driver. |

You should verify that DRI is being activated with glxinfo (should |

see: "direct rendering: Yes". Also make sure that "eselect opengl |

list" shows nvidia as the selected implementation. |
