13 Confirm all of the above, just to add a comment.
14 My current kernel (gentoo-sources-2.6.16) works with a PaX patch w/o any
15 issues. Had to apply it manually though (resolving a reject by some of
16 the gentoo's additional patches). Apply cleanly on vanilla-2.6.16.
17 PS:note however that is just a part of all hardening so if in need
18 choose one of hardened-sources projects.
