As you see, smpeg depends (hard, irrefutable dependency, not optional) |

What is the status of libsdl on your box? Is it installed? If so, what |

It appears that either an incorrect version is installed, or the |

installed version is broken (if it was not installed at all, smpeg would |

have installed it before installing itself, so clearly there is some |
| 57 |
reason that Portage thinks it didn't have to). |
