OK. I can print echoing to /dev/lp0 on catherine. I haven't tried |
237 |
printing from other boxes because I'm not quite sure how to echo |
238 |
something to catherine's /dev/lp0 remotely. I still can't print from |
239 |
seamonkey on catherine and konquerer still reports that something is |
240 |
wrong with the CUPS server. I did grep those files: |
241 |
|
242 |
catherine ~ # grep 'application/octet-stream' /etc/cups/mime.* |
243 |
/etc/cups/mime.convs:application/octet-stream application/vnd.cups-raw |
244 |
0 - |
245 |
/etc/cups/mime.types:application/octet-stream |
246 |
|
247 |
Still nothing useful in the error log. When I tried to step through the |
248 |
printer config in the CUPS web interface and selected my printer model, |
249 |
it said that it couldn't copy the PPD file. Our printer is an Epson |
250 |
Stylus C88. I ordered a test page printed about half an hour ago, and |
251 |
when I stepped through the printer config it suddenly printed it. The |
252 |
test page looked good, but seamonkey still crashes if I try to access |
253 |
the Print dialogue (including Print Preview). What else can I do? |
