8 ISTR mkisofs has an option to report the size of the filesystem is will
9 create without actually creating it, which is much faster. So you could
10 copy the files to a temporary directory and use mkisofs instead of du/df
11 to check how much space is left, then delete the contents of the
12 directory when you have burned the DVD.
