Sorry, should've tried it myself before answering. I'm using Chromium 58.0.3029.110 ( 64 bit though ) built with cups,gconf,pulseaudio and it works for me ( both with extensions enabled and without any )

Imdb.com claims that most of their video content is in html5 anyway:
