It will come back in some different form. Linus supports the concept |

of improved IPC in Linux which was the intent of kdbus. There were |

apparently just a number of issues with the overall design which has |

led to it being abandoned in its current form. |

The concept of dbus/policykit/etc is a very good one, and I don't know |

too many who object to it at that level. At a conceptual level it |
14 |
lets ANY piece of software expose services to the system and allow |
15 |
administrators to control who is allowed to access which services in a |
16 |
generic way. At some level it is a more sane replacement for |
17 |
/etc/sudoers and POSIX capabilities for routine use. |
