To day, I took a look at the /etc/group file and found 'gentoo' |
6 |
listed in several groups, including wheel |
7 |
(wheel audio cdrom usb users games) to be specific. |

I'm thinking this must be a vestige of the liveCD 2006.1 install. |
10 |
Can anyone confirm this? Is this a bug I should report? |

Hello Rumen, |
20 |
|
21 |
Yes, both systems I found this on were recently installed using the |
22 |
2006.1 LiveCD. I could only get it to work using the |
23 |
least amount of choices, which is the canned stage 3 install. |
24 |
|
25 |
I just wanted some confirmation. |
26 |
|
27 |
Do you think I should file a bug report? or is this an obvious problem |
28 |
that the devs are aware of? |
29 |

Being an old fashion admin, I used vi to removed those errant |
31 |
entries from the /etc/group file. I did use grpck and grpconv |
32 |
to check and now they are fine. Nice to know.... |
33 |
|
34 |
thanks, |
35 |
|
