I recently had print related problem on a HP Laserjet with default CUPS
driver ("HP LaserJet Series PCL 6 CUPS"): in my case when evince prints
a PDF document containing text and a QR image the text is rendered
correctly while the QR is rendered black on dark gray background, making
it unusable. The same PDF prints fine from GIMP, so I exclude a driver
issue. I've not tested LibreOffice.

Based on your email I downgraded lcms to 2.12 from 2.13 and the evince
issue is gone (thanks!). So it's not exactly your problem, but it is
related to lcms.
