1 Summary of previous emails.
2 All was well using openrc / dhcpcd / wicd
3 Switched to systemd and all was well for weeks.
4 Then failure occurred (non-global ctrl_ifname).
5 Tried network-manager (NM) with no success.

8 Canek told me off-list that, when using NM, you don't enable dhcpcd,
9 NM handles it all. Poof and when the smoke cleared ...

11 Everything is again working. So if others are having a similar problem,
12 be sure to systemctl disable dhcpcd.
