20 Not the case in this situation. True, when I did an emerge recently,
21 it downloaded new kernel sources, but I haven't installed them yet.
22 (This is because I am working on something that has a deadline and
23 I've never updated the kernel in Gentoo before. Despite the fact that
24 the Gentoo documentation is excellent, I don't want to risk making a
25 "boo-boo" and then being at a point where I might have to spend days
26 correcting my mistake.)
