9 True enough for now, but eventually the kernel developers will force
10 you to udev, so my very humble opinion is, get used to udev. I did
11 that a year ago, solved a few wrinkles, and now the system just hums.
12 udev also has some nice features for assigning fixed /dev/names for
13 devices regardless of the order of discovery.
