No one answered to my mail so far.... Do you mean I should switch to windows
? ;-)

Please, can someone give me some hint?
Do you need some more information to be able to help me?

I have a ThinkPad lenovo R500 running the latest GENTOO.

Here is what I found so far.

Everything works, but I have 2 problems:
1) OpenGL screen saver do not works
2) Graphic is not very fast.

I think the first problem is related to the second one.

I think (but I'm not sure) that the source of my problem is this:

xxxx@localhost ~ $ glxinfo | grep renderer
OpenGL renderer string: Software Rasterizer

However,

xxxx@localhost ~ $ glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: Yes

xxxx@localhost ~ $ dmesg | grep -i agp
[ 1.708652] Linux agpgart interface v0.103
[ 1.708775] agpgart-intel 0000:00:00.0: Intel Mobile Intel GM45 Express
Chipset
[ 1.709925] agpgart-intel 0000:00:00.0: detected 32764K stolen memory
[ 1.713030] agpgart-intel 0000:00:00.0: AGP aperture is 256M @ 0xd0000000

Can someone give me some hint about what to do/what to check?

Thank you in advance,
Massimiliano
