6 My reading of those errors implies that you might have an alsa config
7 file left over which is confusing mplayer. Make sure that you don't
8 have .asoundrc or .alsa* in your ${HOME}. You probably don't need one
9 (not for most setups).

11 Is your card in `cat /proc/asound/cards` or alsamixer ? (can't check
12 correct location, in Windows atm).
