| 7 | Does anyone have experience with USB WiFi dongles? - I have |
| 8 | purchased a couple of ones with different chip sets and cant find |
| 9 | a satisfactory one: |
| 10 | ralink 2870: just usable, but well known problem with errors when |
| 11 | stressed. (IoT power switches are resetting and powecycling |
| 12 | equipment including computers when the connection |
| 13 | dropped/reconnects due to errors/timeouts in my case) |

| 15 | atheros (9k_htc): limited by linux driver to two VAP's, patches |
| 16 | to add VAP's didnt work with later kernels (has been awhile, has |
| 17 | this changed?) |

| 19 | Realtek (various): messy and limited functionality in the linux |
| 20 | driver support out of kernel, limited coverage in kernel, mostly |
| 21 | cant seem to do VAP's at all. |
