7 | if you upgrade grub via emerge, /boot should be mounted. As stage1, stage2 etc. |
8 | will be upgraded in /boot/grub and also in /lib/grub/i386-pc. You should also |
9 | check if /etc/mtab is available, because grub-install require this file to |
