7 Well I'm not sure about that mechanism. What I do, when I want new software
8 that is already in a ebuild is this:

11 look into the dir that contains all software in a given
12 category /usr/portage/<category>

15 Then use eix to give me a one line description so I can see if
16 it's plausible what I'm after. Then just read up on the software
17 and decide to install or not. Searching dirs by category
18 usually gets me what I want....
