So they'll move to quad-core in 2K7, shortly after I upgrade my |

dual-socket-940 system to dual-cores later this year. However, at that, |

having already upgraded memory on this board to 8 gig, I think I'll hold |

for awhile (2 years minimum, possibly 4-5). |

Observation: the hardware folks should be really glad I switched to Linux. |

Since then, the money that /used/ to be split between software (mostly MS) |

and hardware has been all hardware! =8^) However, I've been headed to |

the point of diminishing returns, and my hardware now does what I need it |
| 19 |
to do, so it'll be time to hold and wait for technology to catch up and |
| 20 |
make my next upgrade to what by then will be middle of the line again, tho |

it'll be a big upgrade for me. |
