18 Hardware raid generally provides better performance than software, so I
19 would go with that. It's not uncommon for the configuration of on-board
20 controllers to be done in the bios, so if the options are there, the
21 setup for your hardware raid should be done there.
22 The correct drivers will probably not be on the install disk - a bit of
23 googling should help you work out what's right there.
24 It will boot, as long as the bios is correctly configured to boot from
25 the raid device.
