Hey all. |
2 |
|
3 |
I am working on a site that allows users to post their "compile" times |
4 |
for gentoo packages. Right now, they will have to do a "pretend" first, |
5 |
and then do a "emerge -f packagename;time emerge packagename" for each of the packages, and report the "real" time of the install. I was curious of the possibility of adding an -t or something function to emerge that at the end of the complete install posts the "real" times of each of the installs, less the download of course. |

This would be a great feature for users to be able to share with others |
8 |
how long each package took. My site will store users CPU/RAM/HD |
9 |
information, so I can track differences. But that aside, it would still |
10 |
be a very useful tool? |

What does everyone think? |
