Hi, |
2 |
|
3 |
I installed successfully -- a big accomplishment for me! -- but yaboot does |
4 |
not work properly. I get the startup prompt, choose l for linux, and then |
5 |
get the screen for the kernel option. I have only one kernel option, and |
6 |
when I select it, the machine goes into open firmware. I've tried a few |
7 |
yaboot configurations (running ybin afterwords), but I can't get it right. |
8 |
|
9 |
Could someone share a good, simple yaboot.conf script? I'm not installing |
10 |
any other OS. Just Linux. Nothing fancy. |
11 |
|
12 |
Also, an even more basic question: where is the kernel image installed? Is |
13 |
it in the boot partition or /boot ? That might help me get yaboot configured |
14 |
properly. |
15 |
|
16 |
Thanks again. |
17 |

P.S. For those that were interested in my ethernet connection problem |

(thanks), I hooked up to a different connection, and everything went well. |
