I try to install gentoo 1.2 on an oldworld ppc 4400 (aka 7200). |

I´ve managed to get bootX booting the system, but when the kernel is loading |

the videocard ( onboard ATI) switches to a resolution so that I can not see |

anything useful any more.. |

Does anybody know which kernel parameter(s) to use in bootX at startup to get |

this fixed (kernel parameter for video card, resolution) ? |

By the way, can I use a PCI video card and a PC monitor ? |

Right now I am using a black&white apple monitor of the size of an A4 sheet |
