Well, folks, as some of you might know, the Release Guidelines[1] |

haven't been updated in quite a long time. Now is the time for you to |
| 3 |
get your voice heard in getting these guidelines revised. We need to |
| 4 |
ensure we have as much information as possible in the guidelines to make |
| 5 |
it easier on our Release Engineering developers, and also to allow for |
| 6 |
better communication between Release Engineering and other projects. |

Some things that I plan on updating already include: |
| 9 |
|
| 10 |
file-system layout |
| 11 |
required files for release |
| 12 |
policy regarding "official" status |
| 13 |
|
| 14 |
I'm sure there is a bunch of other stuff that I'm forgetting, but I will |
| 15 |
be making updates to the documentation over the next few days, so be |
| 16 |
sure to mention what version of the document you're referring to, so we |
| 17 |
don't duplicate effort. |
