hmmm.... if they're the same system, the same hw and the same confs |

it's impossible for them not to work. try to see if by chance you |
49 |
don't have dhcpdb or networkmanager started on the second os at boot. |

the only thing that might prevent static routes from working is that |

some dhcp is starting before setting the static net.ethX interface. |

see the dmesg and the system log in search of the ethX problems. if |
53 |
the 2 oses are exactly the same then there's no reason for them not to |
54 |
work in the same way. you'll just have to remember that maybe the |
55 |
router is caching the ethernet entry and might not allow the use of |
56 |
another static ip on the same mac. have a look inside your router |
57 |
configuration and see if it caches or binds addresses. usually |
58 |
commercial routers do this until reboot. |
