8 Yes. You just start with less stuff, but you end up at the same place.

10 As for the forcedeth, if it's detected, there's probably something you
11 can do to make it run -- tweak the paramaters it loads with, or something.
12 I've never used one here (I decided no more NVidia when I switched out
13 the video card of theirs I had, due to lack of freedomware drivers -- if
14 they can choose the proprietaryware route, I can and do choose to spend my
15 money elsewhere, it's that simple), but in general, I know some drivers
16 work on a lot of hardware, but have to be tweaked to work on some of it.
17 I'd suggest some googling on the board and forcedeth. Hopefully, that gets
18 you want you need to get it working.
