Yes. You just start with less stuff, but you end up at the same place. |

As for the forcedeth, if it's detected, there's probably something you |

can do to make it run -- tweak the paramaters it loads with, or something. |

I've never used one here (I decided no more NVidia when I switched out |

the video card of theirs I had, due to lack of freedomware drivers -- if |

they can choose the proprietaryware route, I can and do choose to spend my |

money elsewhere, it's that simple), but in general, I know some drivers |

work on a lot of hardware, but have to be tweaked to work on some of it. |

I'd suggest some googling on the board and forcedeth. Hopefully, that gets |
