Quite possibly. Especially if the chip is getting that hot. Mine only |

went to the low to mid 50sC at full load. That was during the summer |

when room temperature was about 25-27C. Now it's cooler the |

temperature isn't going above about 46C loaded and 36C right now idle. |

Could be, but all Athlons from the XP on have had on die thermal |

diodes. No air gap problem as with the earlier socket A chips. The |

Athlon64 also has a thermal trip cut out. If it gets too hot it will |
