Look in ~/.local/share/applications. I've had good luck configuring |

default file handling applications by adding/modifying files in this |

directory. You'll also want to make sure that your ~/.mime.types or the |

global /etc/mime.types file contains a proper entry associating the |

filename extension with a MIME type of application/msword. |
