Hi Philippe, |
11 |
|
12 |
What I've been doing is keeping an up-to-date version of linux and linux-sources-2.4.2. |
13 |
Our version is now at 2.4.2-r2 (we lost -r3 in the hard drive crash, I need to add this |
14 |
back sometime today). This kernel series generally contains the latest ReiserFS patches |
15 |
direct from http://www.namesys.com and patched against a stock 2.4.2 kernel. I *think* |
16 |
that those patches you included were the same patches we are now using, except that |
17 |
the namesys guys are trying to get these fixes into the official 2.4.3 release? |
18 |
|
19 |
Note: Achim generally maintains the linux and linux-sources versions that look like this: |
20 |
2.4.2.2 (This would be 2.4.2_ac2, an Alan Cox kernel) |
21 |
2.4.2_pre3 (This is a Linus pre-release kernel) |
22 |
For these kernels, he generally tracks down the latest ReiserFS/NFS patches he can find. |
23 |
Achim monitors the ReiserFS mailing list and is in contact with the author of the NFS patch, |
24 |
so we generally have the latest and greatest versions of these patches. |
25 |
|
26 |
I hope that helps, and I'll try to get a version of 2.4.2 on CVS today that includes the |
27 |
5 Mar 2001 ReiserFS patches from namesys :) |
28 |
|
29 |
Best Regards, |
30 |
