10 Indeed, but maintainers are often not aware. A reliable list of broken
11 SRC_URIs would be useful.

13 Additionally, most SRC_URIs are updated when updating the ebuild; it'd
14 be beneficial to also make sure the SRC_URI for old ebuilds is valid if
15 the file still exists upstream.
