7 While I agree with you (and prefer vi-based editing. Personally, I use
8 elvis since I came from Slackware) in this there is a subtle
9 difference... nano -w is mentioned several times in the installation
10 docs and is the default editor, where vim is not. This is my reasoning
11 for not having vim (or perl, or links, or anything else unnecessary) on
12 the "basic" CD.
