11 That's pretty much correct. I just did an install on a box where the
12 framebuffer display sync range was outside that of the lcd panel, causing the
13 panel to go black. I had to do "nofb" to get it to work. I also had a tough
14 time understanding the difference between the kernel options and thought that
15 "nofb" was one of them.. I must have booted 10 times trying "gentoo nofb".

18 That being said, when I do an install on a system that does support it, the
19 framebuffer is VERY sweet!
