That's pretty much correct. I just did an install on a box where the |

framebuffer display sync range was outside that of the lcd panel, causing the |
13 |
panel to go black. I had to do "nofb" to get it to work. I also had a tough |
14 |
time understanding the difference between the kernel options and thought that |
15 |
"nofb" was one of them.. I must have booted 10 times trying "gentoo nofb". |

That being said, when I do an install on a system that does support it, the |

framebuffer is VERY sweet! |
