13 I agree with you that the best solution is to show important messages after
14 the installation. To answer your question about this specific case; I think
15 timing was not very fortunately. Maybe you needed to wait a little bit longer
16 between announcement and marking stable of the package.

18 But you must realise that there are users out there who know very little about
19 Linux in general and Gentoo in specific that will start to flame if something
20 goes wrong nomatter how well you prepare and announce changes. Also realise
21 that these (sometimes very loud) users only represent a very small fraction
22 of the userbase and the most of them really appreciate your work.
