4 I remember that, and I also remember that my problem with it was that it
5 required root access and the commands for all the packages (rpm etc). I'd
6 much prefer something which parsed the RPM format itself and didn't need to
7 extract them. The simplest way, I think, to do this would be to write a
8 rpmextract (or similar; not a full blown RPM, but just an extractor) and have
9 the auto generated ebuilds use the RPMs in distfiles... The problem would
10 come in if we wanted to automate compiling a source RPM... Though for all I
11 know they could come with compiliation instructions. I think DEBs do...
