11 If setting the email address is a prerequisite I don't think this is an
12 issue. Of course alternative courses of action are nice. In any case a
13 mta is pretty standard (even if it is ssmtp) as cron needs it and cron is
14 really really handy for any unix system (For example for log rotating).
