So, you want to replace compiled drivers with some software, and a huge |

database of all the hardware in the world, along with wher to download it |

from, etc. etc., and hope that nobody decides to move stuff on their |

servers, becasue then everybody's live cd's are worthless. Not that I'm |
27 |
saying your idea is without merit, but you certainly would have to find a |
28 |
way to make it seamless. You can't Joe Dialup downloading 26 megs of tarball |

just so he can get his mouse working. |
