I changed the line to just be plain etc-update and it worked fine after that, but again it didn't request any input, just run straight thru. One question about the behavior tho. Say I have pending updates for etc-update, and some of them I want to reject, but I haven't run etc-update and put them in yet. Then I upgrade baselayout, and it (at least looking at the code) deprotected all the changes and forces ALL changes in without question. Surely this is not a desirable effect? It should either: 1. force in only it's own changes, and leave other stuff alone 2. behave like normal etc-update for everything 3. refuse to apply itself until the user has done etc-update +1 for #3 here, +0.5 for #2 -- Robin Hugh Johnson E-Mail : robbat2@××××××××××××××.net Home Page : ICQ# : 30269588 or 41961639 GnuPG FP : 11AC BA4F 4778 E3F6 E4ED F38E B27B 944E 3488 4E85
