I use portlog-info ( http://tdegreni.free.fr/gentoo/portlog-info )
every time after emerging world.

It displays in a real nice way all the einfo/ewarn messages in
/var/log/portage. Then after reading all the messages, I remove all
files in /var/log/portage so the next time I emerge world, I only see
new messages.

Maybe this should be added to gentoolkit, or even integrated into
portage itself? That way I could do something like 'emerge --loginfo'
to display all the einfo/ewarn messages in /var/log/portage after
emerging something. Then 'emerge --loginfo --clear' to clear the
contents of /var/log/portage so I'll only see new messages next time.
