10 You are the best judge of your own skills and interests. Go to
11 bugs.gentoo.org, search for bugs assigned to 'java@g.o', and
12 see if any looking interesting. Some already have ebuilds/fixes
13 attached, but haven't been commited to the tree - you might like to
14 make a list of trivial bugs like this, sifting out the ones that
15 aren't relevant anymore (do leave a comment requesting bug closure and
16 the reason). Some of the others, like out-of-memory build issues, are
17 one line fixes. Find something that looks simple, see if you can
18 reproduce the error, copy the ebuilds to your portage overlay, modify,
19 test, repeat, and eventually the error will go away, now submit your
20 patch and pester someone to look at it and commit it. That's all there
21 is to it.
