As an alternative if read-only mode is too much trouble for infra (and |

having not yet read the proposal), the list is carried by gmane.org, and |

can be viewed there as as a newsgroup or via HTTP by anyone, subscribed |

or not. Thus, read-only mail mode shouldn't be required, and it would be |

impossible (without canceling gmane's access, but that's an important |
17 |
community resource as an archive often linked to when referring to old |
18 |
threads) to ban access entirely in any case. |
